Chinese alphabet "Pin-yin" and the four tones
The Chinese alphabet is known as "Pin yin." Pinyin includes two different types of letters - the first type is called "Initials" and the second - "Finals".

The four tones in the Chinese language
1st tone
3rd tone
2nd tone
4th tone
If the final sound is "i", we do not write the dot on the "i", but instead put the tones.
But for the final "ü" we have to keep the two dots.
